HOA Workshop February 25, 2026

HOA Connect Houston’s February 25, 2026 Board Workshop brought together HOA leaders, industry partners, and public safety officials for an engaging evening focused on strengthening community safety and governance. Held at the Cy-Fair Fire Department Admin Building, the event began with a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility, where attendees explored the apparatus bay, viewed emergency vehicles up close, and gained insight into the operations, equipment, and personnel that serve the Cy-Fair community. The tour provided a valuable, real-world perspective on emergency response capabilities before transitioning into the evening’s educational programming.

Following the tour, participants gathered for a comprehensive workshop centered on “Safety & Security in Your Community,” featuring presentations from the Cy-Fair Fire Department, Envera Systems, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The Cy-Fair Fire Department opened with an overview of its history, growth, and service capabilities, highlighting increasing call volumes, expanding coverage, and the critical investment in equipment, training, and personnel to meet the demands of a rapidly growing community . Envera Systems followed with a presentation on modern HOA security solutions, including virtual gate guards, access control, and surveillance technologies designed to enhance community safety and efficiency.

The workshop concluded with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, which provided practical crime prevention strategies and real-world insights into community policing. Topics included CPTED principles, crime trends, and proactive measures HOAs can take to reduce risk and improve neighborhood safety. Attendees left with actionable knowledge, stronger connections with local safety leaders, and a deeper appreciation for the critical role collaboration plays in protecting and enhancing their communities.
